About the Role
As a UX Designer you will shape the user experience of Maqqie’s product, leading design of complex features, collaborating closely with engineering and product teams, and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Advanced Design Leadership: Lead the design of complex features and functionalities, ensuring a seamless and intuitive user experience. Demonstrate high‑level proficiency in UX, interaction design, and information architecture.
- Cross‑functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineers and product managers to ensure design feasibility and implementation. Engage with the entire organization to gather input and align design decisions with business goals.
- User Research & Testing: Conduct advanced usability testing, interpreting results to make informed design decisions. Iterate and refine designs based on user feedback, data analysis and testing.
- Design Standards & Guidelines: Maintain design standards and guidelines as the design expert within the organization. Ensure consistency and coherence across the user interface and experience.
- Design Advocacy: Champion user‑centred design principles throughout the organization, educating stakeholders on best practices and the value of good UX.
- Project Ownership: Take ownership of specific design projects or features from concept to implementation, managing competing priorities effectively while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.
- Work within a Technology team of 15 engineers and 1 product manager, reporting to the Head of Engineering.
What do you need to be successful?
- Experience: 5+ years as a UX Designer with a track record of delivering high‑quality user experiences.
- Technical Skills
- Expert proficiency in Figma and Zeroheight
- Strong understanding of interaction design, information architecture, and design patterns
- Experience with usability testing and user research methodologies
- Ability to create design prototypes and wireframes
- Industry Knowledge: In‑depth knowledge of user‑centred design principles and methodologies, preferably with B2B SaaS experience.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills, able to articulate and defend design decisions in English (Dutch is a plus). Comfortable presenting to and collaborating with diverse stakeholders across the organization.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse and interpret user feedback and behaviour data to inform design decisions.
- Independence: Ability to work autonomously as the primary design resource while collaborating effectively with technical and product teams.
