Front Office Transport Coordinator executes daily order management and transport planning while also being responsible for on time collection of shipments. They are the first and main contact for carrier, warehouse operations, customer and their customers for day-to-day operations. They act as first escalation point for customers/carriers/colleagues for all transport related topics.
First point of contact for customer regarding all shipments.
Ensure questions are answered in a customer-oriented and satisfactory way.
Provide pro-active solutions/alternatives to customer.
Tracking Coordinates daily activities to follow up on in transit shipments via all transport modes, and re-routes freight as needed to meet demands and minimize cost.
Execute risk assessment to spot delay of shipments at an early stage and take appropriate actions to minimize impact.
Provide timely and proactive information to customers in case of delays or potential risks.
Create and share detailed status overviews of in transit shipments.
Works closely with transport service providers to ensure efficient and effective execution of processes.
Investigate exceptions of the standard process and disturbance in order to prevent and solve issues.
Responsible for keeping the on-time delivery KPI and on time information of delivery KPI above agreed target.
Collect IOD/COD in accordance with key performance indicator in order to receive a proof of delivery.
Edit and send a daily OTD and tracking reports in order to inform management, customer and other stake holders about the daily distribution planning.
