Job summary

Conscious Hotels Westerpark is looking for an intern to gain front office experience and interact with international guests in Amsterdam. You’ll learn front desk tasks, coffee service, self-check-in support, and sustainability-minded guest tips while becoming part of a fun, collaborative team.

The internship runs for at least 5 months, with a focus on hospitality, service, and communication. Perks include meal during shifts, free coffee, and discounts at our hotels and restaurants.

Qualifications

• Passion for hotel industry.
• Willingness to commit to a Front Office internship of at least 5 months (starting July, August, or September).
• Interest in sustainability and working for a sustainable company.
• Desire to experience all parts of hotel life across shifts.
• Ability to speak at least good English.
• Preferably living in or near Amsterdam.

Responsibilities

• Assist guests at the front desk during shifts.
• Check in guests and support self check-in processes.
• Recommend services like bike rentals or sustainable products to guests.
• Help prepare coffee/tea and froth milk for cappuccinos.
• Contribute to a welcoming guest experience.

Job description

Kick-start your hospitality career with a hands-on internship where you’ll gain front office experience, interact with international guests, and develop valuable service and communication skills.

During your internship, you are the friendly face of the hotel during your shift. You’ll gain experience with a variety of front desk tasks, such as checking in guests, assisting with the self check-in system, and sharing helpful tips about Amsterdam. You will also learn how to recommend services like bike rentals or sustainable products to guests.

You’ll have plenty of opportunities to interact with guests, improve your communication skills, and learn how to prepare a good coffee or tea. Our front desk is not the only place where you’ll learn new skills, you’ll also get experience making coffees and frothing milk for cappuccinos. It’s a great opportunity to develop hospitality skills while helping create a welcoming experience for our guests.

About you:

This is one you won't see coming: you have a passion for the hotel industry;
