Job summary

Neways-Electronics-International-Nv is seeking a firmware designer specialized in VHDL and FPGA design. You will translate requirements into robust firmware, collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, and contribute to system-on-chip and high-speed signaling projects in a flexible, hybrid work environment.

The role emphasizes designing, testing and documenting firmware for embedded systems, using state-of-the-art tools and adhering to coding standards in an agile team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering.
• At least 5 years of industrial VHDL experience for FPGA design.
• Experience with FPGA design flow (Altera Quartus, Xilinx ISE).
• Functional and gate-level simulation with Mentor ModelSim and/or QuestaSim.
• FPGA debugging tools (ILA ChipScope, Signaltap) and lab equipment.
• Familiar with HW development tools (Spice, Matlab).
• Proficient in programming languages (C/C++, Java, Python).
• Affinity to collaborate with hardware and software engineers.
• Team player with analytical and proactive mindset.
• Good communication skills and English.
• Strong time management and prioritization skills.
