Neways Electronics International is seeking a Firmware Designer (FPGA) to create and modify firmware for FPGAs, ensuring strong HW/SW interfaces. You will handle VHDL design, documentation, and testing, collaborating with software, hardware and mechanical teams in a hybrid environment.
The role requires 5+ years in VHDL FPGA design, familiarity with toolchains like Quartus/ISE, debugging tools, and programming in C/C++/Python. Excellent English communication and proactive teamwork are essential.
As a Firmware Designer (FPGA), your main responsibility is to create and modify firmware designs for programmable logic, for example FPGAs, including the hardware/software interface of the machine.
Your tasks include specifying and documenting requirements, implementing and simulating VHDL code, as well as testing the firmware in test setups and in the machine module. You will be the first point of contact for VHDL-related questions and you will work closely with designers of all disciplines (software, hardware, and (electro)-mechanical).
