Job summary

Mistral invites a Founding Engineer to join the Applied AI SRE sub-team in Amsterdam. You will build and operate the framework ensuring reliable, scalable AI solution delivery across accounts, including Mistral-hosted and customer-hosted deployments.

You will lead design for fleet reliability, implement SLO- driven operations, and drive security baselines as part of a fleet-management mindset in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in SRE, Production Engineering, or DevOps.
• Strong multi-tenant Kubernetes fluency and security posture.
• On-call discipline with incident response and post-mortems.
• Observability stack expertise (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Tempo).
• Infrastructure as code with Terraform/Ansible or equivalents.
• Proficient in Python and/or Golang for tooling.
• Security mindset: secure-SDLC and supply-chain integrity are reliability properties.
• Strong written communication for runbooks and post-mortems.

Responsibilities

• Design and operate a fleet of Mistral platforms and apps with reliability in mind.
• Run Tier-1 customer environments and ensure SLO compliance, on-call, and escalation processes.
• Enable deployment, security baselines, and scalable automation across accounts.
• Secure the security operations layer, manage CVE responses and SBOM workflows.
• Own framework development to deliver consistent, scalable enterprise AI solutions.
