Job summary

Stellar is hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer to lead AI agent implementations at mid-market and enterprise clients. You’ll own deployments from kickoff to go-live, and partner with clients to tailor Stellar’s voice AI platform to their needs.

You’ll work with customers to translate requirements into effective AI agent setups, manage risks, and drive value across the implementation lifecycle while shaping product evolution and best practices.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in implementation, digital consulting, or solution engineering.
• Strong understanding of APIs, backend systems, and integrations.
• Led technical projects in large organisations.
• High agency and ability to build processes in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
• Proactive communicator and natural relationship builder.
• Fluent in English; Dutch or other European languages are a plus.

Stellar's AI voice agent platform lets companies have incredibly human support calls with their customers at scale. Established brands such as Q-Park, Landal and Vanbreda already let Stellar's agents autonomously support their customers.

Stellar's AI agents can operate alongside human support employees, independently resolving 70% of customer requests without requiring any human intervention through incredibly lifelike conversations.

Since our public launch less than a year ago we've rapidly grown to a team of 10 talented colleagues, coming from high growth scale-ups such as Adyen, Bird and Framer. You'll be joining at a pivotal time in our growth, with volume of conversations flowing through the Stellar platform doubling every month for the last few months. As Stellar is rapidly gaining traction in the enterprise market and expanding to an omnichannel AI agent platform, we're looking for talented individuals to help us reach the next level of growth.

About the role

Stellar is hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer: a foundational technical hire who will be responsible for successful AI agent implementations at Stellar's mid-market and enterprise clients. This role sits at the intersection of solution engineering, customer success and digital consulting.

You will lead AI agent implementations at Stellar's clients from kickoff to go-live, and be the primary partner for our clients as they onboard and integrate with Stellar's voice AI platform.

You will work directly with clients to understand their needs and design tailored AI agents that help solve these. You'll be responsible for identifying customer requirements and systems landscape, and translating these into effective AI agent setups while ensuring each deployment delivers real business value.

As an early member of the Implementation team, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping how we roll out the Stellar platform to a growing customer base while keeping quality at the core. You'll also have a large impact on how our product offering and agent design evolve.

This role is perfect for someone who is high agency, technical, and enjoys working at the intersection of technology and business while delivering transformational customer experiences using AI.

Location

Amsterdam (hybrid), with regular travel to client sites across the Netherlands. Occasional travel to other countries might be needed

What you'll do:

• Lead multiple concurrent implementation projects across mid-market and enterprise clients, ensuring timelines, scope, and quality expectations are consistently met.
• Identify and translate customer requirements into high-quality agent and integration designs
• Serve as the primary partner for new customers during onboarding, guiding them from kickoff to a successful go-live.
• Develop and maintain trusted relationships with customer stakeholders—both technical teams and business leaders—throughout the implementation lifecycle.
• Proactively manage project risks, blockers, and scope changes, ensuring smooth resolutions and minimal disruption to customer success.
• Build and continuously improve scalable, repeatable onboarding and implementation playbooks, while remaining flexible to unique customer needs.
• Act as the voice of the customer internally, to influence how the product evolves
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on speed, reliability, and a consistently exceptional customer experience.
• Help shape Stellar's implementation methodology, establishing best practices for onboarding, project management, and customer engagement.

Who you are:

• You have 2+ years of experience in implementation, digital consulting, or solution engineering, ideally with exposure to complex system integrations.
• You have a strong understanding of APIs, backend systems, and integrations and can translate these technical concepts into clear, business-friendly terms.
• You've successfully led technical projects in large organisations and are comfortable navigating both strategic and operational conversations.
• You're high agency and thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments where you get to build processes from the ground up.
• You're a proactive communicator and a natural relationship builder.
• You are fluent in English; Dutch or other European languages are a plus.
