Job summary

Park Plaza Amsterdam Airport is seeking a motivated Food & Beverage Intern to gain hands-on experience across our restaurant, bar and banqueting operations in an international hotel environment near Schiphol. You will assist during breakfast, lunch and dinner service, learn procedures and guest service standards, and contribute to delivering exceptional hospitality.

• Currently enrolled in a hospitality, hotel management or related study programme.
• Strong communication skills in English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Support the Food & Beverage team during breakfast, lunch, dinner and event services.
• Deliver a welcoming and professional service to guests.
• Assist with the preparation and set-up of restaurant and event spaces.
• Take food and beverage orders and ensure guests receive an excellent experience.
• Learn and apply Food & Beverage procedures, standards and systems.
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation standards across all outlets.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth daily operations.

Join our Food & Beverage team at Park Plaza Amsterdam Airport and gain hands‑on experience in one of the hotel's most dynamic departments. Located near Schiphol Airport, Park Plaza Amsterdam Airport welcomes guests from around the world. From restaurant service and breakfast operations to conferences and events, our Food & Beverage team plays a key role in delivering authentic hospitality every day. As a Food & Beverage Intern, you will gain practical experience across our restaurant, bar and banqueting operations while learning the fundamentals of exceptional service and guest satisfaction in an international hotel environment.

The internship starts in September 2026 for a period of 5 or 6 months.

Essential Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a hospitality, hotel management or related study programme
• Strong communication skills in English (written and spoken)
• Passion for hospitality and guest service
• Positive, professional and enthusiastic attitude
• Eager to learn and develop new skills
• Eligible to complete an internship in the Netherlands

Preferred Requirements

• Previous experience in hospitality, food & beverage or customer service is an advantage
• Interest in restaurant, bar or banqueting operations
• Dutch or additional language skills are a plus
• Ambition to develop a career within hospitality

The internship allowance is €550 gross per month (full-time), which is above the Horeca CAO BOL guidelines.
