Job summary

Circle Economy in Amsterdam is offering a paid internship to support the Financial Analyst with the full operational financial process from start to finish. You will analyse complex issues and help implement process improvements while gaining hands-on experience in a dynamic, impact-driven organisation.

You will perform daily AP/AR, assist in cash-flow forecasting, and help prepare monthly/quarterly reports. Office-based 50% of the time with travel reimbursement where needed.

Qualifications

• Independent, self-starting student or recent graduate in Finance/Accounting.
• Strong analytical skills and knowledge of financial operations.

Your mission

Your role is to directly support our Financial Analyst with the operational financial process from beginning to end. You will analyse complex problems and work together to optimise the process. You will work through all the details of how to best implement process improvements.

This vacancy will be open on a rolling basis, until the right candidate has been found.

Your profile

You are an independent, self-starting student or recent graduate or equivalent in the field of business & financial administration, business management, or accounting. You have strong analytical skills and are knowledgeable about financial operations.

Technical: Comfortable and skilled working with Excel and Google Sheets. A working understanding of AP/AR and basic bookkeeping (P&L, balance sheet, debit/credit) is needed to work independently. Affinity with Exact Online is preferred.

Personal: Precise and reliable. Confident communicator. Discrete and professional. Independent worker. Proactive and solution-oriented.

Education: MBO or HBO student in Finance, Accounting, Business Economics, or similar. Ideally in their final year or a recent graduate. Dutch language proficiency is strongly preferred.

• Paid internship for a minimum of 4-5 days a week for a period of 6-8 months, ideally in full-time capacity, starting in September 2026.
• Stipend of €775 per month and 13 paid leave days based on full-time 6‑month internship.

Job Details

For this job, you must be based in the Netherlands. Dutch citizenship is not required, but you need to have a valid work permit to work in the Netherlands; Circle does not act as visa sponsor for internships. You are expected to work from our office at least 50% of your time to enable proper supervision and learning on the job.
