Job summary

Virtuagym is seeking a Financial Controller to safeguard financial reporting integrity and drive continuous improvement. You will work with the CFO and Finance team across tax, AR and revenue control, with room to grow in a fast-paced scale-up.

The role offers remote-friendly work and a collaborative, high-performance culture. Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in financial control, a degree in Accounting/Finance, and strong Dutch GAAP/IFRS knowledge.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in financial control, accounting, or audit.
• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of Dutch GAAP and/or IFRS.
• Hands-on experience with tax (VAT/ICP, CIT) and revenue/AR processes.
• Experience with ERP systems; NetSuite, Salesforce, or Stripe is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Strengthen and improve internal controls to ensure accurate, reliable data.
• Support tax compliance (VAT, ICP, CIT) and statutory filings with advisors.
• Own and improve AR and revenue control, including reconciliations.
• Run and optimize reconciliations and balance sheet substantiation.
• Contribute to monthly close and year-end audit activities.
