Job summary

BizAway, a fast-growing travel-tech scale-up, seeks a Financial Controller to own the Dutch finance function for two Dutch entities, reporting to the CFO. Based in Rotterdam or Amsterdam, you will drive financial control, reporting and day-to-day operations in an international environment.

You will coordinate the close, manage treasury, lead budgeting and management reporting, and partner with management and the Board on financial and commercial decisions.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of proven work experience as a Financial Controller or similar role, ideally including exposure to post-M&A integration.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, Dutch GAAP and/or IFRS, and current financial legislation.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Good knowledge of ERP and spreadsheet tools (e.g. NetSuite, Excel); Netsuite proficiency is a plus.
• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Previous experience in a scale-up or fast-growing company is a strong plus.
• Fluent English is mandatory; good knowledge of Dutch is required; Italian is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own the local finance function for two Dutch entities, including financial control, reporting and operations.
• Oversee day-to-day financial administration and full closing cycle.
• Manage treasury, liquidity planning, and banking relations.
• Lead budgeting/forecasting and management reporting; analyze performance and profitability.
• Act as financial partner across the organisation, translating insights for management and Board.
• Coordinate annual statutory closing, audits and tax/compliance with external parties.
• Improve financial control framework and automate processes.
• Serve as local finance contact for Group Finance and aid ERP integration.
