Job summary

Start People is seeking a proactive Financial Controller to ensure smooth financial processes, closings, and reporting for the group, including preparation of reports for the German parent company.

You will oversee accounts payable/receivable, margin monitoring, cost prices, and inventory valuation, while driving process improvements and internal controls to strengthen management information and VAT compliance.

Qualifications

• MBO+ or HBO degree in finance or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, ERP systems and Excel.
• Fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
• Analytical, detail-oriented and process-driven.

Responsibilities

• Handle month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings.
• Prepare reports for the parent company in Germany.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable and balance specifications.
• Monitor margins, cost prices and inventory valuation with operations.
• Identify opportunities to optimize processes and strengthen internal controls.
• Develop actionable KPIs for decision-making and VAT compliance.
