ChainCraft is building a production finance team in Amsterdam. You will report to the Finance Manager and work closely with the CFO, Project Controller and Finance Administrator. You’ll take over work from the interim controller and help shape a growing finance function.
You’ll manage subsidies, ensure timely closings, contribute to ERP setup by 2027, and drive process improvements to strengthen controls and reporting for shareholders and stakeholders.
ChainCraft is on a mission to make chemistry circular. Through proprietary fermentation technology, we convert agrifood residues into high-performance biobased fatty acids, replacing fossil and palm-based inputs across industries ranging from personal care and animal nutrition to industrial lubricants and food & fragrance.
We are in an active scale-up phase. A new production facility is in development, funding rounds are in motion and our position in circular chemistry is gaining ground. That growth places real demands on our finance organization.
You report directly to the Finance Manager and work closely with the CFO, the Project Controller and the Finance Administrator. You take over a substantial part of the work from the current interim controller, who will hand over to you. From day one, you're right in the middle of a finance organization that is very much still taking shape.
Key responsibilities:
You have gained your first experience in a production environment, or completed a traineeship within one, and are now ready to take your second or third career step in a smaller-scale organization where your impact is directly visible. Or you are currently working at an accountancy firm and find that you'd rather become part of the story behind the numbers than keep checking it from a distance.
Affinity with a production environment is a strong plus, whether that comes from hands-on experience or from having audited manufacturing companies on a regular basis. You're tech savvy, strong in Excel and have a solid grounding in financial systems. Experience with Exact Online is a nice plus. You're comfortable reading and writing in both Dutch and English. It doesn't matter to us which one is your native language, what matters is that you can operate confidently in both, since our financial administration and stakeholder communication run in a mix of the two.
This is a role for the long term. A great deal is going to happen within finance at ChainCraft over the coming years, and you're someone who wants to help build it from the ground up and grow into a more senior, specialized (Finance / Business Control) or management role while doing so.
Additionally, you bring:
You join an organization in the middle of its growth phase, with proven technology, a growing customer base and a mission that matters. From day one you get real responsibility and visibility within an experienced management team, and a direct role in projects that will shape the organization for years to come.
