As the Financial Compliance and Reporting Specialist, you act as a central contact for ARLANXEO group companies on diverse accounting topics and advise on GAAP interpretation and their content. You prepare the quarterly and full‑year financial statements for the ARLANXEO Group and align them with the Group auditor. Additionally, you adapt and develop the ARLANXEO Group’s accounting guidelines to meet steadily rising reporting requirements. You integrate and advise on new business processes into existing templates with minimum impact on current processes and train and instruct group companies and Corporate Functions on principles and philosophies.

In this role you work within the Corporate Financial Compliance & Reporting department, part of the Corporate Accounting department of ARLANXEO.

The Corporate Accounting division is composed of a young and dynamic team split into three sub‑teams – Financial Compliance and Reporting, Financial Accounting and Consolidation, and the Accounting Shared Service Center alongside country accounting teams. As the Corporate Accounting Department is still growing, this is a unique chance to contribute to shaping a successful and unique working environment. We are continuously working on optimization and automation projects within Corporate Accounting.

Location: Geleen (Hybrid Role)

Key Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Lead and participate in projects regarding improvements in the accounting and reporting processes and tools (optimization and digitization in relation to transformation process).
  • Advise Group management (Head of Financial Compliance & Reporting, Head of Corporate Accounting and Group CFO), regional finance teams and other Group functions like Tax, Controlling and Treasury regarding complex accounting topics (pension, IFRS 9, IFRS 16, etc.) and compliance aspects of financial reporting.
  • Advise on complex accounting issues, in accordance with accounting guidelines and IFRS including maintaining the Group Accounting Guidelines based on IFRS.
  • Coordinate the external audit (Quarterly reviews and year‑end audit) including the preparation of the Group Annual Report and Quarterly Statements.
  • Prepare and present quarterly management reports and analysis of financial data for both internal and external purposes.
About You
  • Master degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting, preferably supplemented with a post‑master degree (e.g. RA/RC/CPA).
  • Minimum of 5–6 years professional experience in Corporate Accounting or Audit, preferably in an international environment, manufacturing business or a Big 4 firm.
  • Fluent in English (verbal and written).
  • Has deep and broad knowledge of reporting and accounting principles (IFRS).
  • Experience and capability to operate in a multicultural and multi‑disciplinary global business environment.
  • Accounting knowledge of specific topics such as pensions, tax or lease is a plus.
  • Focus on the improvement and development of global financial processes and procedures.
  • Affinity with sustainability reporting and willingness to take responsibility in a project environment.
  • High analytical, numeric, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong collaborative and communicative personality.
