Job summary

Insify is seeking a part-time Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day accounting across multiple entities from invoices to VAT. You will collaborate with a small finance team and ensure accurate ledgers, timely journal entries, and smooth month-end closing.

You’ll work 16-24 hours weekly in hybrid mode from our Amsterdam office, using Excel and Exact Online, with English as the daily working language. Competitive salary and benefits accompany this role.

Qualifications

• You have a bookkeeping or accounting qualification, or a vocational/bachelor’s background in finance: Dutch or international.
• You have at least two years of hands-on bookkeeping experience.
• You’re comfortable with Excel and accounting software; Exact Online is a plus.
• You work accurately, stay organised and pay attention to detail.
• You can work independently and proactively flag issues before month-end.
• You communicate clearly in English; English is the daily working language.

• Keep the ledgers accurate and up to date with timely journal entries.
• Reconcile bank accounts, payroll and intercompany balances.
• Prepare VAT returns and support other tax submissions.

• Spot opportunities to make processes simpler and more reliable, and suggest improvements.

Your role

You’ll own the day-to-day bookkeeping across our entities and countries, from invoices and reconciliations to month-end closing and VAT. You’ll work closely with a small finance team and with our ops colleagues, who rely on you for questions about payments and billing. Because we build our finance function ourselves, you’ll also have real room to simplify and improve how we work.

Who you are

• You have a bookkeeping or accounting qualification, or a vocational/bachelor’s background in finance: Dutch or international.
• You have at least two years of hands-on bookkeeping experience. It doesn’t matter if that experience was a few years ago.
• You’re comfortable with Excel and accounting software. Experience with Exact Online is a plus.
• You work accurately, stay organised and pay attention to detail.
• You can work independently, are comfortable asking questions and are proactive in flagging issues before month-end.
• You communicate clearly in English, both in writing and in conversation. English is our daily working language.
