Job summary

MSIG Specialty Marine in Rotterdam seeks an early-career finance professional to manage and improve financial processes. You will handle transactions, validate automated entries, and ensure accurate data flows with brokers and internal teams.

You'll interact with underwriting, claims and accounting, supporting automation and reporting while developing your career across finance, operations and risk management in an international marine insurer.

• Around 2+ years in a finance or accounting role.

Responsibilities

• Process financial transactions accurately and on time.
• Review and validate automated entries and escalate when needed.
• Ensure data accuracy, completeness and timeliness with brokers and internal teams.
• Collaborate with Underwriting, Claims and Accounting to keep processes flowing.

• Process financial transactions accurately and on time
• Review and validate automated entries (and step in when needed)

Be at the centre of the action

• Work closely with brokers to ensure smooth data flow
• Partner with teams like Underwriting, Claims, and Accounting
• Act as a go-to contact for questions and problem-solving

Work with systems and automation

• Support and improve automated financial processes
• Troubleshoot issues and drive continuous improvement
• Help modernise how finance operates

Keep everyone informed

• Support reporting and highlight risks or improvement areas
• Ensure compliance with IFRS and internal standards

What We’re Looking For

You’ll likely bring:

• A background in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field (through education or experience)
• Some experience in a finance or accounting role (this could be gained through internships, entry-level roles, or early career experience)
• Around 2+ years’ experience in a finance or accounting role
• Strong attention to detail
• Confidence working with systems, data, and automation
• A proactive, problem-solving approach

Bonus points if you have:

• Experience with ERP systems
• Dutch or another European language alongside English
