A growing international automotive logistics business is seeking an Administrative Operations Specialist to support the launch and ongoing operations of its newest site in Amsterdam. This is a broad and varied role combining finance, payroll, HR administration, compliance, and operational support within a fast-paced logistics environment.

The Role
As an Administrative Operations Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the Amsterdam operation through the delivery of accurate financial, payroll, and business administration support.
Key Responsibilities
Finance & Administration
- Support the end-to-end invoice process, including verification, processing, and payment preparation.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure transactions are correctly recorded within internal systems.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close activities.
- Support capital expenditure (CapEx) processes and associated documentation.
- Assist with VAT and corporate income tax compliance activities.
- Coordinate financial information and documentation with external auditors.
HR & Payroll
- Coordinate monthly payroll activities by collecting, validating, and submitting payroll data to external providers.
- Review payroll outputs and update internal systems accordingly.
- Support HR administration including recruitment, onboarding, time and attendance records, and employee documentation.
- Liaise with external payroll and HR advisors to ensure compliant and accurate processes.
Compliance & Reporting
- Support local statutory reporting, tax obligations, and compliance requirements.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare statistical and management reports.
- Act as a key contact for external advisors, auditors, and service providers.
Business Operations Support
- Assist with reporting requirements for the European headquarters.
- Support general office administration, supplier management, contract administration, and facilities-related activities.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of three years’ experience in an administrative, finance, payroll, or HR support role.
- Experience working within an international or logistics-focused organisation would be advantageous.
- Fluent Dutch and English language skills, both written and spoken.
- German language skills would be beneficial but are not essential.
- Strong attention to detail and a highly organised approach to work.
- A proactive, hands‑on attitude and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
