Job summary

Smart Solar Technologies is seeking an experienced Finance Manager based in the Netherlands to oversee finance operations for the Netherlands and coordinate across European entities. You will manage monthly closings, IFRS compliance, budgeting, tax, reporting, and liaise with accountants, auditors, banks, and authorities to ensure accurate, timely financial results.

Requires strong English, SAP FI/CO experience, and the ability to coordinate multi-country finance processes in a fast-growing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or related fields.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in finance, accounting, controlling, reporting or similar roles.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and local accounting standards.
• Experience coordinating finance processes across European countries.
• Hands-on with SAP FI/CO; SAP implementation or integration is a plus.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent in English; Dutch language skills are an asset.

Responsibilities

• Manage finance, accounting, tax, payroll-related financial processes and statutory reporting activities for the Netherlands entity.
• Oversee and coordinate financial processes, reporting and follow-up activities across European operations.
• Manage monthly and periodic financial closing, consolidation, budgeting, cash flow, cost control and management reporting processes.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in line with IFRS and local accounting standards.
• Follow up tax, VAT, corporate tax, transfer pricing, intercompany invoicing and related financial processes in coordination with local advisors.
• Act as the main finance contact for local accounting firms, tax advisors, auditors, banks and public authorities in the Netherlands and other European countries.
• Monitor financial risks, establish control points and provide timely recommendations to management.
• Identify, secure and manage financing and funding sources to support operational and investment needs across European entities, and maintain relationships with banks.
• Support the standardization, improvement and implementation of finance processes across Europe.
• Use SAP FI/CO and other finance systems effectively; SAP improvement, integration or implementation when required.
