Job description

We are looking for a Country Accounting & Treasury Manager to join our Finance team. Reporting to the Country Head of Finance, this role will lead and mentor a team of 6 professionals, ensuring the effective management of both Accounting and Treasury operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Treasury Management

1. Oversee liquidity planning, cash flow forecasting, and financial resource allocation.
2. Maintain relationships with financial institutions, negotiate economic conditions, and manage credit lines and bank guarantees.
3. Provide regular reporting on cash flow trends, forecasts, and variance analysis.
4. Ensure accurate bank reconciliations, transitory account balancing, and proper registration of interest payments.
5. Support retail locations with banking-related matters.
6. Manage the purchase-to-pay and sales-to-collect processes, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
7. Supervise intercompany transactions, ensuring timely accruals and invoicing.
8. Oversee VAT, withholding taxes, and other tax compliance requirements.
9. Ensure the accuracy of financial statements through accounting adjustments, currency revaluations, and accruals.
10. Conduct month-end closing activities, including reconciliations, variance analysis, and journal entries.
11. Ensure compliance with legal and fiscal accounting regulations.
12. Act as the primary liaison for external auditors and internal stakeholders.

Requirements & Skills

1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, or a related field.
2. Strong accounting background with at least 7 years of experience in financial accounting within a multinational environment.
3. Team leadership experience and the ability to mentor and develop professionals.
4. Experience with finance and treasury systems.
5. Fluency in English and Dutch.
6. A proactive, process-driven approach with a focus on continuous improvement.
7. Strategic mindset with strong business acumen and the ability to collaborate across departments.
