Job summary

Finatal is partnering with a private equity-backed software business to appoint a Finance Manager to drive financial controls and reporting as it scales across Europe.

Working with the CFO, you will own the consolidated monthly close, lead multi-entity reporting, and support acquisition activity including due diligence and integration, in a fast-paced, international environment.

Qualifications

• RA or AA qualified is required.
• Experience as Finance Manager or Financial Controller.
• Experience operating in a multi-site, multi-entity and multi-country environment.
• Strong financial control and management reporting experience.
• Exposure to international group structures and cross-border finance operations.
• Experience in a growing, acquisitive or private equity-backed business is advantageous.
• Strong Excel and finance systems capability.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly management accounts process across multiple entities.
• Lead month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls.
• Produce consolidated group reporting and support board reporting.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting and cash flow reporting across the group.
• Ensure compliance with local statutory, tax and regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
• Support acquisition activity including due diligence and integration.
• Drive improvements in financial controls, processes and reporting frameworks.
• Partner with operational stakeholders to improve financial visibility and performance.
• Support finance systems and process improvements as the business scales.
• Work with the CFO on strategic projects and international expansion plans.

Finatal is partnered with an ambitious private equity-backed software business seeking a Finance Manager to support the next stage of its growth journey.

With revenues of c. €20m and a clear buy-and-build strategy, the business is targeting significant expansion through both organic growth and strategic acquisitions. Operating across multiple European jurisdictions, the role will work closely with the CFO to strengthen financial controls, improve reporting processes and support the integration of future acquisitions.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on finance professional who enjoys operating in a growing international environment and wants exposure to M&A, international expansion and business transformation.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the monthly management accounts process, ensuring accurate and timely reporting across multiple entities.
• Lead month-end close activities, balance sheet reconciliations and financial control processes.
• Produce consolidated group reporting and support board-level reporting requirements.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting and cash flow reporting across the group.
• Ensure compliance with local statutory, tax and regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
• Support acquisition activity, including due diligence, integration and post-deal finance processes.
• Drive improvements in financial controls, processes and reporting frameworks.
• Partner with operational stakeholders across different locations to improve financial visibility and performance.
• Support finance systems and process enhancement initiatives as the business continues to scale.
• Work closely with the CFO on strategic projects, growth initiatives and international expansion plans.

Candidate Profile

• RA or AA qualified.
• Proven Finance Manager, Financial Controller or equivalent experience.
• Experience operating within a multi-site, multi-entity and multi-country environment.
• Strong financial control, management reporting and month-end experience.
• Exposure to international group structures and cross-border finance operations.
• Previous experience within a growing, acquisitive or private equity-backed business is advantageous.
• Strong Excel and finance systems capability.
• Able to operate autonomously in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to work across multiple geographies and cultures.
