Job summary

PPHE Hotel Group in Amsterdam is offering a Finance Intern position to support the Hotel Business Control team across six Dutch hotels. You will gain exposure to financial analysis, reporting, cost control projects, and operational finance activities to help drive informed business decisions.

As an intern you will prepare analyses and presentations, assist with month-end closing, accounts payable/receivable, and procurement systems (Fourth and Adaco), and collaborate with finance colleagues at

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree programme, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Economics, or a related field.
• Available for a minimum internship period of five months.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Flexible and willing to travel between our hotels in Amsterdam, Lijnden, Utrecht, and Eindhoven when required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare business control analyses, reports, and presentations under the guidance of the Hotel Business Controllers
• Support recurring and ad hoc financial reporting activities
• Assist with projects relating to Rooms and Food & Beverage cost control across the Dutch portfolio
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, and reporting quality
• Support income audit activities and revenue verification processes
• Assist with accounts payable and purchase-to-pay processes
• Assist with accounts receivable and order-to-cash processes
• Support month-end closing activities and ensure deadlines are achieved
• Assist with the administration and support of procurement systems, including Fourth and Adaco
• Follow up on purchasing and requisition queries and escalat* issues where required
• Collaborate with finance teams and stakeholders across multiple hotel locations
• Gain exposure to commercial decision-making through financial analysis and business performance reviews
