Job summary

BP is seeking a Finance Control Manager for the Rotterdam Refinery. On site, you will own financial controls, ensure accurate reporting, and provide trusted advice to operations and projects.

You’ll partner with teams to drive value, challenge decisions when needed, and lead improvements across the refinery. The role requires deep technical finance knowledge, a proactive mindset, and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field.
• Minimum 10 years in Finance Control, Financial Accounting, Audit or finance leadership.
• Strong understanding of financial controls, governance and risk management.
• Fluent Dutch and English, written and spoken; stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate and compliant financial reporting per Group standards.
• Act as trusted finance advisor to business and operations on accounting and controls.
• Support major capital projects, acquisitions, and complex transactions with insights.
• Identify risks and opportunities; drive mitigations and improvements.
• Lead quarterly close activities and support audits.
• Collaborate with refinery stakeholders to strengthen controls and performance.
• Challenge existing processes and push for simplification and standardization.
