Job summary

JEK recruitment B.V. is seeking a junior Finance and Accounting professional for an innovative start-up in the events industry. You will support the Finance Manager to keep financial processes running smoothly, ensure accurate reporting, and assist with strategic financial planning.

The role offers growth within a fast-growing, international environment and exposure to a dynamic finance team.

Qualifications

Bachelor HBO in Finance/Accounting or equivalent experience.
Prior experience in finance or accounting is a plus.
Strong MS 365 and Exact Online skills.
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
Good communication skills and a proactive team player.
Knowledge of financial regulations and accounting principles is a plus.

Responsibilities

Processing accounts payable and receivable; ensuring timely payments and accurate recording.
Reconciling bank statements and credit card summaries.
Assisting in the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and cash flow statements.
Managing and keeping financial databases and spreadsheets up to date.
Assisting in the preparation and submission of tax forms and documents.
Supporting month-end and year-end closing processes.
Responding to financial queries from management and supporting budget monitoring.
Carrying out general administrative tasks for the finance department.
