Job summary

IS International Services in Amsterdam seeks a Field Solutions Specialist to drive field problem resolution and implement solutions through cross-functional coordination across Manufacturing and Sustaining Engineering. The role covers BESS hardware, software, IO, data systems, and core computing devices, with emphasis on safety, reliability, and performance.

You will work on coordinating across boundaries, supporting installation, commissioning, and problem resolution while delivering on time

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering required.
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience with BESS design, computer, electrical, and system engineering.
• Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Staff or Systems Engineer.
• Minimum of 3+ years of field or field support experience.
• Experience driving complex emergent issues to resolution.
• Experience with ISO 9000 quality programs.
• Experience commissioning and coordinating installation of engineering systems like BESS.
• Familiarity with NFPA standards and other codes.
• Ability to translate engineering requirements into business outcomes.
• Interest in product lifecycle and project management methodologies (Agile/Waterfall).

Responsibilities

• Provide technical contributions through problem identification, solution development, and field implementation.
• Communicate proactively with involved personnel to support, identify problems, and implement improvements.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to adhere to timelines and control project costs in the region.

Job description

Role Overview

The Field Solutions Specialist will contribute to the resolution of technical problems and implementation of field solutions through cross-functional coordination. This role requires coordinating across company organizational boundaries, serving as an individual contributor and liaison between Manufacturing and Sustaining Engineering to develop solutions to system and equipment level issues, including BESS hardware, software, and information systems, batteries, power converters, controls software, IoT and core computing devices, data collection, and network components.

• Provide technical contributions through problem identification, solution development, and field implementation.

• Experience navigating various engineering codes and standards, such as NFPA and others.
• Support connecting engineering requirements to business requirements.
• Knowledge of product lifecycle and product innovation.
• Knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, and other project management methodologies.
• Proven success on challenging projects where you made key contributions while demonstrating ownership, creativity, and initiative.
