Job summary

ThoughtLabs Belgium is seeking an International Field Service Engineer to perform worldwide installation, maintenance, and repair of our high-tech machinery. You will train clients and users on delivered systems and conduct FAT handovers, reporting in English on activities and improvements to the Service Manager and QHSE Manager.

• Willingness to travel internationally (60-70%).
• Fluent in English and German, both written and spoken.

Job description

We currently have a vacancy for an International Field Service Engineer.

Responsibilities

• Worldwide installation, maintenance, and repair of our systems.
• Training and technically instructing customers/users regarding delivered systems.
• Testing and handover of the installation via a Field Acceptance Test (FAT).
• Reporting (in English) on performed activities, as well as proposals for modifications and improvements, to the Service Manager and QHSE Manager.
• Providing support to the Helpdesk.

Job Requirements

• MBO (Vocational) degree, preferably in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Control Technology.
• Preferably a few years of experience in a similar role.
• Strong language skills: proficient in both spoken and written English and German.
• Willingness to travel: traveling internationally 60-70% of the time is no issue for you.
• Knowledge of drive and control technology.
• Ability to act quickly and strong communication skills with customers and colleagues.
• Analytical, flexible, and resilient under stress.
• Possession of a valid driver's license (Category B).
• Preferably residing in the region, though not strictly required.
