Job summary

DroneShield Limited in the Netherlands is expanding its European Operations with a Field Service Engineer role. You will join the EU Operations Team and work with sales, delivery, and engineering to deploy and sustain DroneShield’s counter-drone systems across Europe.

Candidates should have an engineering degree, field service experience, Linux proficiency, and a track record testing complex systems; security clearance is preferred.

Qualifications

• Engineering or quantitative degree is highly regarded.
• Experience in Field Service Engineering with direct customer support.
• Proficient with Linux operating system.
• Experience in testing of complex systems.
• Experience with telecommunications, RF, and/or electronic warfare is highly regarded.
• NATO security clearance preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the EU Sales and Australian teams to provide technical support during customer engagements, system architecture reviews, and solution scoping.
• Plan, manage, and execute the installation and integration of multi-product C-UAS systems in the field.
• Serve as the primary technical interface for customers, handling system diagnostics, troubleshooting, software upgrades, and maintenance.
• Deliver operator and maintainer training for end-users.
• Capture, document, and elevate field feedback to inform product improvements.
• Develop and maintain documentation of DroneShield systems and processes to ensure continual improvements over time.
• Establish and maintain close relationships with internal and external stakeholders and customers, communicating effectively across diverse backgrounds.
• Provide remote and on-the-ground technical support to customers.
• Conduct engineering investigation and analysis to resolve technical issues with limited support.
• Keep up to date with the latest technologies, tools and methods to be effective in your role.
