Job summary

Miltenyi Biotec is seeking a Field Service Engineer BeNeLux for the Netherlands. You will plan and perform service visits, diagnose instrument faults, and manage spare parts and tools. The role requires close collaboration with customers and internal teams to ensure service excellence.

You will install, qualify, and maintain instruments, performing upgrades and following SOPs. Travel is mostly within the Netherlands with occasional Belgium trips, supported by extensive training.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering, electrical engineering or related field.
• Experience with biotech instrumentation and field service repair.
• Excellent networking, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites in NL and Belgium; valid driving license.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepares and documents service visits; manage own calendar and planning.
• Diagnose instrument faults, ensure spare parts and tools are available, prioritize and schedule with customers.
• Manage spare parts stock and measurement tools; handle goods receipt and stock control.
• Perform instrument installation, qualification, preventive maintenance, repair and upgrades.
• Follow SOPs and communicate results with customers to ensure satisfaction.
• Collaborate with sales, tech support, and field applications to meet business goals.
• Travel primarily within the Netherlands with occasional travel to Belgium.

Field Service Engineer BeNeLux – the Netherlands (m|f|d)

• Plans, prepares and documents service visits. As a Field Service Engineer at Miltenyi Biotec, you are in charge of your own calendar and planning
• Confirms instrument fault / diagnosis, ensures correct spare parts and tools are available, prioritises, schedules and confirms appointment with customers
• Manages own spare part car stock and measurement tools
• Orders spare parts and maintenance kits, performs goods receipt and return to ensure correct stock inventory, performs periodical stock control inventory, ensures all calibrated measurement tools are within specifications
• Performs instrument installation, qualification, preventative maintenance, repair and upgrades
• Performs intervention following available documentation / SOP, qualifies instruments following available documentation / SOP, reviews all activities with customers to ensure satisfaction
• Connects and works in close cooperation with customers, sales teams, technical support, field applications support, to ensure customer satisfaction and achieve business objectives
• Constantly aligns with internal teams, ensures actions and customer communications serve the business objectives
• Main territory is the Netherlands with occasional travel to Belgium
• Technical background and affinity and a degree in a relevant field (engineering, electrical engineering or related)
• Experience in biotech instrumentation, field service repair, fluid control systems, and system level electrical/mechanical troubleshooting
• Excellent computer networking, troubleshooting and communication skills
• Flow cytometry and/or laser experience would be an added bonus, though not essential
• 4 days at customer sites per week and 1 admin day
• Fluent in English (Dutch is a plus)
• The job requires daily travel to customer sites located mainly in The Netherlands and occasionally Belgium. Other travel may be requested
• Driving license
