Job summary

ASML in Veldhoven, the Netherlands, is seeking a Mechanical Install Engineer - EXE to install and commission advanced lithography systems at customer sites worldwide.

You will combine hands-on mechanical work with troubleshooting, problem solving, and direct customer interaction. The role involves frequent international travel (more than 50%) and a willingness to work in shifts, with a commitment to safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Vocational degree with at least two years of relevant experience or a bachelor’s degree.
• Technical background in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, aerospace, automotive, or related field.
• Hands-on experience in a high-tech production, engineering, installation, or technical customer service environment.
• Experience with mechanical assembly and troubleshooting.
• Experience with large-scale and precision mechanics is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical installation, adjustment, and commissioning of complete EXE systems.
• Install equipment at customer locations, including systems with new features and technologies.
• Perform complex adjustments, upgrades, diagnostics, and troubleshooting with limited support.
• Answer technical customer questions and provide professional on‑site support.
• Transfer technical knowledge to local installation and support teams.
• Complete required documentation, handovers, issue tracking, and progress reports.
• Identify and contribute to structural improvements in installation methods and processes.
