Job summary

Radio Holland is seeking a Field Engineer to join the Projects Department in Delfzijl to support installation of maritime electronic systems on board ships and work on location with vessels such as work vessels, cargo ships, and yachts.

You will develop technical skills while contributing to safe and high-quality installations in a maritime environment, reporting to the Head of Projects and Field Engineering. This on-site role is based in Northern Netherlands.

Qualifications

• MBO-4 level required.
• Experience in a technical/industrial environment.
• Good command of Dutch and English.
• Motivated, independent, accurate, with a sense of responsibility.
• VCA or VCA VOL certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Install equipment based on technical drawings.
• Assist in commissioning under supervision of senior Field Engineer.
• Prepare tools and materials before starting work.
• Follow work instructions, project documentation and safety procedures.
• Support testing and basic functional checks of installed equipment.
• Report progress, deviations and issues to supervising engineer or project manager.
• Participate in on-site project meetings as required.

You will be part of a dedicated team consisting of account managers, sales engineers, project managers, project engineers, and field engineers. This team is responsible for selling and delivering projects to our customers from start to finish. The goal is to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business. You report to the Head of Projects and Field Engineering and will be based in Northern provinces in the Netherlands.

These are your tasks and responsibilities.

As a Field Engineer in the Projects Department, you will support the installation of maritime electronic systems on board ships. You will work on location on various vessel types, such as work vessels, cargo ships, and yachts. You will work with equipment such as radars, sonar systems, ECDIS chart systems, radio communication systems, and autopilots. In this role, you will develop your technical skills while contributing to safe and high-quality installations in the maritime environment.

Responsibilities:

• You install equipment based on technical drawings
• Assist in commissioning activities under supervision of an experienced Field Engineer
• Ensure tools and materials are properly prepared before starting work
• Follow work instructions, project documentation, and safety procedures
• Support testing and basic functional checks of installed equipment
• Report progress, deviations, and technical issues to the supervising engineer or project manager
• Participating in internal and on-site project meetings as required
• Represent Radio Holland professionally on siteRequirements

• MBO-4 working and thinking level
• Experience in a technical/industrial environment
• Good command of spoken and written Dutch and English
• You are motivated, independent, accurate, and have a great sense of responsibility
• In possession of VCA or VCA VOL certificate
