Job summary

Nearfield Instruments (NFI) is looking for a FAT Engineer to own the final validation phase of high-tech metrology tools before shipment. You will verify performance, diagnostics, and delivery readiness, using in-depth data analysis to isolate root causes and implement fixes with cross-functional teams.

You will drive FAT process improvements through automation and collaborate with D&E and marketing to ensure tools meet customer specifications and future capabilities. Onsite work is required.

Qualifications

• BSc/ MSc in relevant engineering fields (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Aerospace, Physics or Nano tech).
• 2+ years of experience with complex systems like semiconductor equipment or similar.
• Proficiency with Python is highly beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Run the tool and analyse tool performance to identify and resolve issues before delivery to customer.
• Drive process and automation improvements on the FAT sequence, and contribute to the development of next-generation tool capabilities.
• Align testing priorities with customer expectations by collaborating closely with the marketing team.
• Demonstrate that tool performance is aligned with committed specifications.
