Logistics at full potential As Facility Project Manager you are responsible for the execution of Facility (and partly Technical) Project Management. You are the Facilities work stream lead in various projects such as new construction with associated customer implementations.
You are involved in both facilities planning and implementation; expansion of customers or new customer implementations at existing locations.
What You Do On a Typical Day
- You will manage end‑to‑end facility projects, including office moves, renovation projects, and technical installations. Intervene, when time is short, with the local facilities team/employee(s) in this area. Translate customer requirements and solutions from engineering into facility consequences with respect to existing or new facilities.
- Select, coordinate, and supervise external contractors and suppliers, ensuring quality and adherence to safety regulations.
- Define project budgets, monitor expenses, and ensure cost‑efficient delivery of services; support tenders by providing budget estimates.
- Drive workplace performance, space planning, and improve facility operations.
- Ensure all facilities comply with legal, health, safety and environmental standards.
- Work at various sites in the Northern Europe Region and report directly to the Head of Facility & Security Northern Europe.
What You Need To Succeed At GXO
- • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Facility Management, Engineering, Construction, or a related field.
- • Facility background and/or at least 5 years of relevant work experience.
- • Knowledge of soft‑services (catering, cleaning, security, etc.) with emphasis on hard‑services side of facility management (building‑related installations such as W‑ & E‑installations, fire safety, etc.) and the relevant legislation and regulations.
- • General project skills such as strong communication (internal and external), managing budgets, managing timelines and schedules, etc.
- • Technical knowledge (automation) is an advantage.
- • Service‑provider mentality and teamwork orientation.
- • Strong communication skills in both Dutch and English.
