Job summary

HAL Allergy International seeks a Manager Facilities & Engineering in Leiden to lead maintenance, calibration, validation, and critical capital projects. You will drive reliability, energy management, and documentation while guiding engineering teams to support GMP manufacturing and regulatory compliance.

The role demands 3-5 years of leadership in a regulated environment, with strong technical knowledge and fluency in Dutch and English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Minimum 3-5 years of leadership experience in Engineering, Facilities, or Maintenance within a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing, utilities, automation, maintenance systems, validation, and GMP.
• Fluent in Dutch and English, with excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Facilities & Engineering team and set objectives.
• Develop and implement maintenance, calibration, validation, and reliability strategies.
• Manage engineering and capital investment projects from concept through implementation.
• Oversee technical systems & documentation; maintain accurate drawings and change records.
• Oversee energy/utilities management and drive efficiency improvements.
• Manage spare parts, inventory, and critical supplies for uninterrupted operations.
• Ensure GMP, EHS, and regulatory compliance; support inspections and audits.
