Job summary

EPAM Systems Inc. is seeking a Microsoft Fabric Solution Architect in a hybrid setup across Europe, including the Netherlands.

You will design end-to-end Fabric-based architectures, spanning Lakehouse, warehouse, data pipelines, notebooks, and Power BI integration, while guiding governance, security, and cost management. You will run architecture discovery, create technical roadmaps, and document decisions for large-scale enterprise clients, translating business needs into production-ready

Qualifications

• Four-plus years in data and analytics, business intelligence or data platform architecture.
• One-plus year of Microsoft Fabric experience.
• Two-plus years of Power BI experience: enterprise semantic model design, star schema modeling, DAX concepts.
• Strong knowledge of data governance, security, identity (Entra ID) and compliance in enterprise environments.
• Experience presenting to executives and technical audiences; ability to write architecture diagrams and documentation.
• English (B2+/C1) and German (B2) communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Run architecture discovery and current-state assessments for enterprise clients.
• Design end-to-end Microsoft Fabric solutions: OneLake, Lakehouse, Warehouse, Data Factory pipelines, Notebooks, and Power BI integration.
• Develop governance, security and operating frameworks: Purview, RLS/OLS, tenant settings and CoE.
• Plan migrations from older platforms to Fabric and manage cost, performance and monitoring.
• Lead design authority reviews, produce ADRs and architecture documents, and enable reusable blueprints.
