Job summary

NH Hotels & Resorts in Amsterdam seeks an F&B Employee (m/f/d) for the restaurant and banqueting teams. You will host guests, coordinate service, and support daily operations with a focus on hospitality and energy.

You’ll work in a dynamic, international environment, delivering memorable dining experiences and collaborating with colleagues across the Food & Beverage department. This full-time role offers growth potential within NH Hotels across Europe and the Americas.

Qualifications

• Good command of Dutch and English.
• Experience as waiter or in hospitality is useful but not essential.
• Customer-focused with an eye for detail and teamwork.

As an F&B Employee (f/m/d), you will be responsible for the restaurant and banqueting. You enjoy your role as an authentic host and you feel comfortable in engaging with our national and international guests.

Your Role at a Glance

12:00 PM – 3:00 PM Your shift starts between 12:00 PM and 3:00 PM, depending on the schedule. After getting changed and grabbing a coffee, you join your colleagues for a short team briefing to discuss the day ahead and prepare for service.

12:30 PM – 3:30 PM Together with the team, you get the restaurant, terrace, and/or bar ready for lunch and dinner service. You replenish stock, prepare the mise-en-place, and ensure everything is in place for a smooth and successful service.

1:00 PM – 5:00 PM During lunch service, you welcome guests with a smile and provide friendly, attentive service. You make sure every guest feels welcome and enjoys a great dining experience.

5:00 PM Time to enjoy a staff meal with your colleagues and recharge before the evening service begins.

6:00 PM The dinner service starts. You welcome the first guests of the evening and guide them to their tables.

6:30 PM – 10:00 PM Together with your colleagues, you create memorable experiences for every guest. Whether you're recommending dishes, suggesting wine pairings, or providing excellent service, you help make each visit special.

Throughout the day
No two days are ever the same. You might assist with a room service order, help out at the bar, or support your teammates during a busy service. Teamwork and flexibility are key.

10:00 PM The restaurant closes. Together with the team, you clear the final tables and make sure everything is ready for the next day.

10:30 PM The bar closes. You complete the last orders, tidy up the work areas, and leave everything looking its best for the next shift.

End of shift
After a successful service and another day of creating great guest experiences, you head home with a sense of accomplishment, ready for your next shift.
