Job summary

Fortrea in Italy seeks an Executive Director to lead Global Clinical Development strategy, driving growth and differentiating trial solutions. You will oversee cross‑functional input, establish governance, and mentor leadership teams to deliver value to clients and internal stakeholders.

The role emphasizes strategic direction, market intelligence translation, and strengthening senior client relationships across the pharma/biotech ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Advance degree, APRN, MPH, PhD and/or MBA preferred.
• Fortrea may consider relevant and equivalent experience in lieu of educational requirements.

Responsibilities

• Leads business growth through the design and development of innovative, winning trial solutions that result in a growing, profitable portfolio of rare diseases and pediatrics business across the Therapeutic Areas.
• Builds and strengthens senior relationships across pharma, biotech, KOLs, investigators, sites, academic collaborators, advocacy groups and strategic partners, using these networks to open doors, shape opportunities and strengthen Fortrea's market position.
• Leads high quality end-to-end business development strategies, including RFI response, proposal development, bid defense preparation and presentations.
• Markets and supports Fortrea’s capability, visibility and position through publications and presentations at conferences, meetings, and webinars, etc.

Education
