Job summary

Stichting Wereld Dorpen voor Kinderen in Amsterdam seeks an Executive Director to lead long-term strategy, oversee budgeting, and manage a small committed team.

You will build donor relationships, drive fundraising campaigns, represent the organization at events, and ensure compliant governance. The role offers 32-40 hours weekly, a max salary of €6.400 per month, partial work from home, and a pension plan.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of relevant work experience, including 3 years in a leadership role.
• Experience with fundraising from private individuals and institutional fundraising.
• Up-to-date knowledge of digital and marketing tools to boost fundraising.
• Affinity with development cooperation and charitable causes.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of the long-term strategy.
• Translate strategy into annual plans and the corresponding budget.
• Evaluate policies and provide periodic reports to the Board.
• Ensure day-to-day management of the small but committed team.
• Represent the organization at external and internal events.
• Maintain relationships with existing and potential donors.
• Lead fundraising campaigns, events, and initiatives.
• Ensure transparent reporting and responsible management of donations.
