Job summary

Eli Lilly and Company in Katwijk, Netherlands, seeks a Senior Director – Quality Control to define the site QC strategy and lead laboratory operations in support of manufacturing and product release.

You will provide executive governance, ensure cGMP compliance, drive digitalization of laboratory systems, and build a high‑performing QC organization aligned with Lilly’s quality strategy across global networks.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience leading Quality Control or laboratory operations in regulated industries (cGMP).
• Senior-level accountability for analytical governance, regulatory inspections, and laboratory compliance.
• Experience with EMA, FDA, or other major regulatory inspections; familiarity with Dutch regulatory environment preferred.
• Experience establishing or scaling QC laboratory operations in a new or expanding facility.
• Experience with oral solid dosage and/or API manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the site Quality Control strategy, aligning with global standards and business objectives.
• Lead laboratory operations, analytical governance, and data integrity to deliver reliable results.
• Drive regulatory readiness and oversee specifications, methods, and documentation.
• Build and develop a high-performing QC leadership team and talent pipeline.
• Partner with Manufacturing, QA, Technical Services, and Engineering to enable efficient, compliant operations.
• Demonstrate executive accountability for safe EHS practices within QC operations.
