Job summary

DRW is a diversified trading firm providing mission-critical support for core proprietary trading systems. As a Trading Systems Engineer, you will adjust trading parameters, manage deployments, and monitor production environments to ensure flawless operation across multi-platform systems, primarily Linux.

You will collaborate with DBAs, developers, QA, and infrastructure teams to automate processes, troubleshoot incidents, and maintain high system availability.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting high-performance applications and troubleshooting
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals (multicast, TCP, routing)
• Basic scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, Bash)
• Experience working in Linux environments
• Familiarity with FIX protocol and exchange protocols a plus
• Experience with configuration management tools (Chef, Ansible) a plus
• Docker container experience a plus
• Monitoring tools such as Splunk, Kibana, Grafana a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• BS in Computer Science or equivalent degree

Responsibilities

• Establish best-in-class support processes for production trading technologies and deployment
• Ensure maximum trading system availability to avoid missed opportunities
• Provide support for trading production systems
• Develop automation and monitoring tools across Linux and Windows environments
• Coordinate with DBAs, development teams, back office, QA, and infra during releases
• Troubleshoot production incidents from internal and external factors
• Automate configuration and rollout procedures to minimize errors
• Communicate with exchanges regarding trade activity and connectivity
