We are looking for an Event Officer to join our team in Valkenburg. Do you like sports? Do you like events? Do you like sports AND events? Then this might be the job for you. For this exciting role we’re looking for a motivated, flexible and pro-active candidate who would love to be the representative for Shimano.

Events enable us to connect with cycling enthusiasts, gravel riders, roadies and mountain bikers. As an Event Officer, you’ll be a key member of the Commercial Team, collaborating with the Operational Team to execute successful events. You’ll deliver exceptional hospitality, foster creativity, and build customer relationships to enhance the Shimano brand. You’ll use strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure seamless event experiences in a fast-paced environment.

The Challenge

• Drive sales and revenue on events by developing tailored proposals and strategies,
• setting competitive pricing and fostering strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Plan and execute events in collaboration with the Operational Team, ensuring seamless logistics and delivering exceptional hospitality to enhance the Shimano brand.
• Engage attendees and serve as a key point of contact, managing registrations and inquiries to ensure a positive experience.
• Support marketing and creativity by contributing innovative ideas and collaborating on promotional materials to boost event appeal.
• Analyze event performance using data and feedback to improve future events.
• Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling, budgeting, and documentation, while attending relevant meetings.
• You will act as a vital liaison between the customer and the operational team to support the Experience Center’s business success.

Who we are looking for

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in marketing, management and/or sports
• 2 years of working experience in a similar role
• You have a big affinity for sports/ bicycle industry and cycling in general
• You have excellent language skills in Dutch & English (both verbally and written)
• You are involved and get energized by organizing and hosting (sport) events
