Job summary

ZEROVA Technologies seeks a skilled Firmware Engineer to support system customization, resolve issues, engage in customer discussions, and assist testing for European and UK charging station systems. This on-site role emphasizes collaboration with local teams to ensure compliant, reliable firmware and software solutions across regions.

Responsibilities include staying current with EV charging tech, supporting on-site client needs, and contributing to R&D of control modules and wireless charging

Qualifications

• Willingness to commute daily to our office in Amstelveen—this is a fully on-site role.
• B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or another comparable field. MS Degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of related work experience in EVSE.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to prioritize changing situations.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills to drive tasks to completion.
• Able to handle multiple priorities and work well under pressure.
• Ability to communicate accurately and comfortably with all levels of management.
• Motivated self-starter that can productively work alone and in groups to solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Stay updated on local R&D technology and development in the EV charging industry.
• Analyze and ensure compliance with local regulations and standards for EV charging systems.
• Provide technical support for European and UK clients for system software/firmware customization and modification, including overseeing local design replacements.
• Assist local customers onsite with problem analysis and resolution of issues related to EV chargers and systems.
• Engage in technical discussions with clients regarding system software/firmware needs and requirements.
• Support local functional and interoperability testing to ensure seamless integration of EV charging solutions.
• Contribute to R&D of system control modules to improve charging efficiency and functionality.
• Participate in wireless charging system R&D initiatives and explore new charging technologies.
• Collaborate on future development of European and UK standard charging station systems.
• Domestic and international travel required.
