Job summary

JD Logistics Europe is building its European ocean product end to end, owning pricing, rate cards, and carrier contracts across Europe. You will drive capacity, service levels, and profitability with a hands-on approach that evolves as the volume grows.

The role requires deep Asia–Europe trade knowledge, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to collaborate across procurement, sales, and operations to deliver a first-rate ocean offering for enterprise customers.

Qualifications

• 8–12+ years across trade management, pricing, carrier procurement and operations in ocean logistics
• Deep Asia–Europe trade knowledge: CY/CY, door, DG, reefer
• Carrier negotiator with a proven track record: named accounts, volume commitments, surcharge clauses
• Commercially confident builder able to stand with enterprise customers and sales
• English fluent; Dutch or German a plus

Responsibilities

• Own the European ocean product end to end: P&L, rate card, carrier contracts, capacity and service
• Lead renegotiations and create multiple main- lane contracts with alternatives
• Maintain a published rate card with margins, validity, and quick quote turnaround
• Oversee bookings, capacity planning, and weekly cycle to ensure first-week shipability
• Shape the mandate for ocean plus road linehaul within cross-border product scope
