Job summary

DP World is seeking a Category Procurement Lead – Indirect to drive sourcing strategies across Europe for facility management and other indirect categories. You will lead supplier negotiations, manage supplier performance, and ensure compliance while collaborating with local and central teams.

The role requires 5-8 years in category management, a relevant degree (BSc/MSc), and ideally CIPS/NEVI certification.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of relevant experience in category management, preferably indirect categories such as facility services.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree required; preferable certified or actively seeking certification in CIPS/NEVI or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Soft and Hard facility services (e.g. waste, janitorial, office supplies, PPE & uniforms, building maintenance, safety, quality services).
• Ability to develop and execute sourcing strategies and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Exceptional stakeholder ownership and influence with a project manager mindset across decentralised European stakeholders.
• Able to review Waste and Cleaning contracts from a commercial and legal perspective.

Responsibilities

• Initiate, draft, present, validate & sign off, implement and execute procurement sourcing plans/strategies.
• Partner with stakeholders to identify needs, provide guidance, and deliver procurement solutions.
• Lead sourcing projects, including supplier selection, negotiations, and contract execution.
• Manage supplier relationships to improve performance, quality, and long-term value.
• Analyze market trends, cost drivers, and supplier landscapes to inform decision-making.
• Drive cost-saving initiatives and build a sustainable savings pipeline.
• Support consolidation of spend and optimisation of supplier portfolios across Europe.
• Ensure contracts are reviewed, validated, and compliant in collaboration with legal teams.
• Maintain accurate category data, cost analysis, and performance tracking.
• Identify opportunities for innovation, standardisation, and process improvement.
• Contribute to risk-management strategies to ensure supply continuity and competition.
