Job summary

Xalient Benelux seeks a talented Financial Controller to oversee Dutch, Belgian and Luxembourg entities from The Hague, reporting to the Group Financial Controller (UK). You will lead local finance teams, manage day-to-day financial processes, and drive accurate reporting and control across multiple jurisdictions.

The role demands extensive experience in financial administration, month-end closing, and treasury, with strong IFRS knowledge and English/Dutch proficiency.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in finance, accounting or business; postgraduate RA, ACCA or equivalent preferred.
• At least 10 years of relevant experience, ideally Big 4 and 3+ years as Financial Controller or similar.
• Solid knowledge of financial administration, GL management, AP/AR and balance sheets.
• IFRS, tax and regulatory knowledge, especially for the Netherlands.
• Experience with payroll administration and VAT filings.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day financial processes for Dutch, Belgian and Luxembourg entities.
• Manage accounts payable/receivable and cash flow forecasts.
• Lead liquidity planning and treasury activities; maintain bank relationships.
• Develop and maintain management reports; perform month-end close and reconciliations.
• Prepare financial analyses for Group FC and CFO; act as sparring partner for management.
• Coordinate payroll processing with HR and external provider; support audits and tax filings.
• Identify improvements to financial systems and processes.
