Job summary

Versified Company in the Netherlands is seeking a Group Financial Controller for a private equity backed technology group with cross-border entities. You will own the consolidated numbers and raise reporting standards across the group, delivering timely, auditable outputs for leadership and investors.

Reporting to the CFO, you will oversee monthly, quarterly and year-end consolidation, statutory accounts, governance and balance sheet discipline, plus treasury oversight.

Qualifications

• Group consolidation experience in international multi-entity groups.
• Professional accounting qualification, ideally with audit background.
• Strong technical accounting depth and a drive to improve processes.
• Ability to lead a team and influence senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly, quarterly and year-end group consolidation.
• Produce statutory accounts across entities in line with local GAAP.
• Oversee group governance, controls and balance sheet discipline.
• Treasury and cash management oversight.
• Lead financial integration of newly acquired European entities with CFO.
• Support ERP implementation from a finance perspective.
• Provide clear commentary and analysis for senior leadership.
• Maintain relationship with external auditors.

Most group reporting roles are about keeping the machine running. This one is about building a better machine.

Our client is a private equity owned technology business with a growing network of entities across Europe. The group is acquiring and scaling, and it’s moving onto a new ERP. They need a Group Financial Controller to own the consolidated numbers and raise the standard of reporting across the whole group.

The opportunity

Reporting to the CFO, you’ll be responsible for the group view of the business. That means accurate, timely reporting that leadership and investors can trust and act on. You’ll bring a technical, audit trained eye to how the group reports and accounts, and you’ll put best practice in place rather than just maintaining what’s already there. As new businesses join the group, you’ll be central to bringing them in cleanly.

What you’ll own

• The monthly, quarterly and year end group consolidation
• Statutory accounts across the entities, in line with local GAAP
• Group governance, controls and balance sheet discipline
• Treasury and cash management oversight
• Financial integration of newly acquired European businesses, alongside the CFO
• The finance side of a new ERP implementation
• Clear commentary and analysis for senior leadership
• The relationship with the external auditors
