Job summary

McCain Foods is seeking an Engineering Project Manager to lead complex capital projects across its European Snacking network, reporting to the Director, Global Snacking Engineering. You will drive from concept through installation and commissioning, partnering with operations, safety, and procurement to meet timelines and budgets.

You will manage cross-functional teams, promote best practices, and ensure safe, compliant project delivery across Europe.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
• Master's degree, MBA or PMP preferred.
• Minimum 6 years of project management experience in food manufacturing.
• Experience in snack food or similar food processing operations preferred.
• Proven track record managing capital projects, budgets, and schedules.
• Strong knowledge of process documentation and project schedules.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and standard PM tools.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Willingness to travel ~40–50% across Europe.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and execution of capital engineering projects across European Snacking facilities.
• Oversee design, review, and implementation of equipment and systems per standards.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, safety, and finance to define scope.
• Evaluate and implement new process technologies to improve efficiency and quality.
• Develop capital project justifications and REAs.
• Manage contractor and supplier selection, tender docs, bids, and negotiations with Procurement.
• Coordinate design inputs and technical documentation between teams, suppliers, and contractors.
• Conduct supplier and site visits to ensure equipment meets plant needs.
• Manage budgets, schedules, resources, and risks for project delivery.
• Resolve technical issues, support commissioning, and provide technical expertise.
• Promote safety, compliance, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
