Job summary

Akenerji in the Netherlands seeks an Energy Regulatory & Trade Operations Specialist to drive licensing and trading desk support as we expand across European energy markets.

You will coordinate electricity trading licenses across EU jurisdictions, monitor REMIT, MiFID II, EMIR, MAR, CBAM and EUA, manage regulatory reporting and deadlines, and collaborate with regulators, TSOs, legal advisors and internal teams to ensure compliant market entry and efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law, Economics, Energy Markets, Business Administration or a related field.
• Experience in European energy markets, regulatory compliance or energy licensing.
• Fluent English required; Dutch language skills are a strong plus.
• Willingness to travel frequently and undertake extended stays abroad.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate electricity trading license and market-entry processes across EU jurisdictions
• Monitor regulatory obligations, including REMIT, MiFID II, EMIR, MAR, CBAM and EUA
• Manage regulatory reporting, documentation and compliance deadlines
• Work closely with regulators, market operators, TSOs, legal advisors and internal teams
• Support the Trading Desk in stakeholder development and service-cost optimization
