Job summary

MSD is seeking an Associate Director, EU Digital S&T Lead to execute the digital and data strategy for EU capital projects, including Boxmeer initiatives like BOND & IDEFIX. The role bridges digital design with manufacturing operations, guiding IT/OT design and complex system integrations from concept to PQ/PPQ and commercialization.

The role focuses on Data Enablement, enterprise data lakes, and cloud platforms to reduce costs, improve RFT and yield, and foster seamless shop-floor digital

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biotechnology, or a related discipline.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Experience in digital technology implementation (e.g., MES) and process scale-up.
• Experience managing projects or technology workstreams in a matrix organization.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute robust Data Enablement and IT architecture strategies for EU capital projects.
• Leverage enterprise Data Lakes, cloud platforms, and advanced data pipelines across the S&T network.
• Ensure data connectivity and knowledge-sharing across S&T teams.
• Manage digital solutions beyond project delivery through PQ/PPQ to commercialization.
• Translate software and digital capabilities into measurable business value (cost reductions, RFT, yield).
• Drive integration of SCADA, MES, LIMS, QM, Veeva (Reliance), and ATLAS (ERP) into enterprise Data Lakes.
