Job summary

Nebius is seeking an AI Science Writer based in the EU for an ongoing contract role with a fixed monthly retainer and potential to transition to a full-time position. You may come from AI/ML research, journalism, or technical writing, and read papers to craft clear, engaging stories.

A central part of the role is producing weekly reviews of new AI models, architectures, and in-house research. You will develop clear visuals and diagrams and collaborate with designers.

Qualifications

• Have professional or academic experience in AI/ML research, machine learning engineering, or closely related technical field.
• Have a degree in CS/ML/Math/Physics/Engineering or equivalent.
• Be able to read papers, inspect architectures, and discuss with researchers.
• Strong visual instincts and ability to explain mechanisms through diagrams and visuals.
• Write with precision and flair, using LLMs to support work.

Responsibilities

• Produce scientific and technical reviews of new AI models and papers.
• Turn architectures and ideas into clear visual narratives with infographics and diagrams.
• Interview researchers, engineers, founders, and leaders.
• Cover major conferences and emerging AI fields and debates.
• Write across formats: reports, features, interviews, explainers, newsletters, scripts, and social content.
• Host or moderate webinars and other on-camera formats.
• Collaborate with designers and multimedia producers on complex stories.
• Experiment with models, agents, coding, and automation to improve workflows.
