Job summary

The Offshore Partners BV is seeking an experienced Equipment Manager for offshore energy projects in the Netherlands. You will oversee the technical, financial and safety performance of complex marine assets to keep them safe, reliable and fit for purpose.

In this role you will lead multidisciplinary teams, manage budgets and schedules, and coordinate maintenance programs and asset upgrades across projects worldwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical discipline (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, Nautical Studies, Electrical Engineering)
• Experience with Life Time Extension, major maintenance and/or asset upgrade projects
• Experience in offshore, maritime, heavy lifting or energy industries preferred

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Equipment Manager to join one of our clients in the offshore energy industry!

Our client is a leading international offshore contractor operating some of the world’s largest crane vessels. Their projects range from offshore wind installation and decommissioning to the installation of large and complex offshore structures.

As Equipment Manager, you will be responsible for the technical, financial and safety performance of complex marine assets. You will ensure that equipment remains safe, reliable and fit for purpose while supporting ongoing projects, maintenance programs and long-term asset development.

Working closely with multidisciplinary teams and internal and external stakeholders, you will combine technical expertise with project, budget and stakeholder management.

What will you do?

As Equipment Manager, you will:

• Manage the technical, financial and safety performance of assigned equipment and assets;
• Coordinate Repair & Maintenance (R&M) and equipment investment programs;
• Plan and prioritize maintenance, inspections and technical improvements based on operational requirements and risk;
• Define scopes of work and lead multidisciplinary project teams and stakeholders;
• Provide technical and financial equipment input for tenders and upcoming projects;
• Lead Life Time Extension (LTE), major maintenance and asset improvement projects;
• Manage project budgets, schedules, technical risks and stakeholder expectations;
• Ensure assets remain safe, compliant, reliable and operationally ready.

What are we looking for?

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, Nautical Studies, Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline;
• Strong practical and theoretical knowledge of complex equipment and technical specifications;
• Proven experience managing large-scale and technically complex equipment or installations;
• Experience with Life Time Extension, major maintenance and/or asset upgrade projects;
• Strong project management and stakeholder management skills;
• Commercial and financial awareness alongside a strong technical background;
• Able to balance technical, operational, financial and safety requirements;
• Proactive, structured and comfortable working in a dynamic project environment;
• Experience within the offshore, maritime, heavy lifting or energy industry is strongly preferred.
