Eurofins BioPharma Product Testing is part of the international operating Eurofins Scientific. The organization is the largest Dutch contract laboratory for the pharmaceutical industry, specializing in analytical tests for (bio) pharmaceutical raw materials, intermediates, and products, serving a diverse range of national and international clients.
The position of Equipment Lifecycle Engineer resides within the Validation, Maintenance and Calibration (VCM) department. The team is responsible for ensuring equipment is qualified throughout its lifecycle to the necessary requirements. The department works with teams that function on the local site, Benelux regional and global levels.
The Equipment Lifecycle Engineer is responsible for planning, scheduling and performing actions on GxP systems to ensure compliance to regulatory guidelines and client requirements throughout the lifecycle of the system. Systems may be comprised of multiple components including software, hardware, utilities and firmware. The Technical Laboratory Support Officer is responsible for ensuring systems uphold the principles of the raw data lifecycle as part of ensuring Data Integrity.
Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on laboratory equipment.
- Perform calibration work on utilities and laboratory equipment.
- Perform validation/qualification of laboratory equipment.
- Perform periodic evaluations and assessments on data integrity.
- Identify, report and adequately handle malfunctions of utilities, laboratory equipment and facilities.
- Adequately handle alarms reported via monitoring systems.
- Train and advise colleagues in the use, maintenance, calibration and validation of utilities and laboratory equipment in accordance with relevant procedures.
- Participate in inspections and audits.
- Manage new equipment (supplier selection, drafting URS) and provide related documentation.
- Initiate and help solve non-conformances, out-of-specifications, changes and complaints in collaboration with the QA team.
- Create good system workflows in collaboration with operations departments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Life Sciences, Analytical Chemistry, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a QA/GMP‑regulated environment.
- Previous laboratory experience is a plus.
- At least basic understanding of Dutch and fluency in English.
- Affinity with general IT systems and proficiency in MS Office.
